Big Adventure For UGM

May 7, 2017

The idea behind UGM came about 5 years ago....like any other dreamy idea it came and it went as life did.  The house, kids sports traveling out of town all weekend kept me pretty busy.  In the meantime the garage kept filling up one "must have" project after another...with grand ideas for them all.  I was going to turn that end table into a dog house and paint that dresser with a Union Jack flag....and so on!  I took my finished treasures and sold them at the local antique mall for about 4 years and did very well but I really love meeting the people that buy my goods...I like to know what and where they will put my treasures.  Who doesn't right???

I started looking for property to rent in 2015....I knew it had to be a super cool rustic place..I had a couple places on the table at one point and it didn't happen.  I'm a firm believer of if it was meant to be it will be...and a lot of prayer....those places didn't happen cuz it wasn't meant to be.  I luckily found a place super rustic and perfect for UGM in 2017....and guess what...it used to be an old garage...how perfect!  The building has so much history and I love telling the story how it was a creamery back in the day.  A few pics of my first visit to my future shop.
